The Hungry Code Monkey blog has been running for a few months now. More and more content is being added all the time. There’s also a collection of perfectly tweaked WordPress Plugins. All of this takes a considerable amount of time and to start over configuring everything would be a real pain. The process of backing up data files, configuration files, database tables etc can be very painful.
Even more of a problem is preparing a decent disaster recovery plan. You may think having a plan in place is overkill for your website, however when you consider two posts per week, with comments. Extrapolate that over a few years and you have a lot of valuable content on your website. You probably want to protect that investment.
